My request to Steve Jobs and his response (don't kill OSX)

This evening I became, perhaps irrationally, concerned that within the next 5 years or so iOS would overtake OSX as the primary Macintosh operating system. My concern was based largely on the tremendous cash reserves that Apple has developed from iOS device sales (look at the chart of reserves). This combined with the potential for an Adobe buyout by Microsoft made me wonder if I would be using Windows again soon. Of course there are also rumors that iOS development has slowed OSX development, delaying such products as a 64bit Final Cut Pro as engineers are moved to iOS. Whether there is anything to this is yet to be seen. But here is what I wrote:
_____________
Dear Steve,
I am concerned that apple is gradually dropping the ball on its graphic user crowd. We don't benefit much from an iOS & OSX convergence. We like using mice (I don't like using my wacom tablet). I have and use an iPad and iPhone.
I find that the iOS feels too locked up for my use. Where the hell are the files stored?
Please continue OSX as a Unix based system for the next couple of decades. Oh, and either lock Adobe down or create a competing product. If CS6 or 7 becomes Windows only I will be forced to switch to windows almost overnight.
Thanks,
James

Don't worry. OSX is alive and well.

It would be interesting to think Steve Jobs is answering these emails. Up late? I wouldn't mind too much if it turned out to be a team of PR people. As long as the content is accurate. Thanks Steve.
Oh, and Wacom... if you're reading this please send me a 21" Cintiq and I will love your product I'm sure. And when I say I have an iPad, I mean my lovely wife Amie has an iPad that she generously shares with me (in case she reads this and wonders where I have hidden the second iPad).
