I've got that new Pearl Jam song about being a "lucky man to count on two hands the ones I love" in my head. On Friday evening we shot our first official wedding as Photography RI. Although it is becoming more common for commercial (or any working photographer) to dabble in weddings, it is still somewhat uncommon. But, for us it is part of a long term plan.

There is a rush of excitement at shooting weddings and I think I planned more for this one than for many shoots. Unlike an image designed to sell, these images are for future generations. These are important images in and of themselves. They capture a family (2 families) at a moment in time.

I will probably be posting some more images (and behind the scenes) of shooting this wedding in the near future. For now, this is a new workflow and it was a beautiful and amazing experience. I slept like a rock after it was all over and the images were backed up (around 2:00am Sat.).
