the hetherington tonic & the 4th of July (& real film shots)

There is a photographer out there named Hetherington who shoots with a hasselblad on negative film. He's an Irishman in the US and he uses funny words like "tonic." He published an email I sent him, without my knowing, and unwittingly sent some of his readers my way. My readership has momentarily skyrocketed. So, thank you for visiting from his blog.
This past weekend I was sidetracked from going to Newport to see massive fireworks because the ladies my friend (the driver) was hoping to meet never showed up. So instead, we ended up at a house party, with pyrotechnics in the backyard. A handful of people, mostly sober, some good talk and food.
It was all good fun and reasonably safe. But, the neighbors next door must have raided a chinese fireworks warehouse; massive explosions with multiple bursts in the sky. The police and fire came by at some point. As for us, we had fun with a less explosive, but equally pretty display of rockets and the like.
There are my own scanned hasselblad negatives. I've been shooting more with the Hassy lately.
