So, what do you want to know? What would I want to know? Good question.
I started Photography RI as an educational blog which grew into a commercial studio. I'm not from Rhode Island so I have had to build this business on reputation - one client at a time. It's been an adventure. I want to work for you. Let's talk on the phone and figure it out.
As for me: I am Japanese/American and I grew up between Tokyo, Japan and the Boston area. I attended a Boston area University on academic scholarship and studied many things (music, visual composition, narrative, and much more). I graduated with a dual-degree in multimedia and a resume full of great experiences.
I can't paint. Everytime I have tried to paint I ended up with glop. The last time I felt good about something I painted was in kindergarten; it's just not my thing. That's where photography came in. It was the blank canvas on which I could make my work resonate. I've used computers since I was a child so the technical aspects came easily (it has only taken me all my free time). Everything I wanted to feel while painting I discovered and loved while making pictures.
I am a romantic and a sentamentlist. A romantic and sentamentalist who loves simple design. I want to record people and life and celebrate them in my images. It's a work in progress.
